Our Purpose! Why Our Employees Matter In The Fight Against a Global Pandemic

For more than a hundred years, P&O has been enabling energy production, movement of goods, and supplies around the world to keep life moving. This did not change in the face of the global situation we are currently witnessing.

Now, more than ever, our seafarers and employees are playing an essential role in fighting the global outbreak of COVID-19.

Our colleagues in port and logistic services ensure that the supply of goods, whether domestic, critical, or medical supplies, keep moving, including when it matters the most.

Our colleagues in the offshore services are critical in the energy production that keeps the lights on in homes and hospitals around the world, even economies, including when it matters the most.

Our people in the offices provide support and tools, enabling our colleagues in the front line to safely do their job.

Never have their efforts mattered more than it does now. We are extremely proud of their tireless work, sacrifices, and dedication in these difficult times.

At P&O Maritime Logistics, we make things happen, often in the face of adversity, and this is one such time, where we continue to stand in the face of challenges, together. I am incredibly proud of all our craftsmen for adapting swiftly and continuously striving to deliver safely.

I urge you all to take the necessary precautions to stay healthy and safe. To help those on board, who are working day and night to keep life going, and to help fight this disease, please stay at home.

I am certain that together, we can get through this.

Our thoughts continue to be with those personally affected by the virus, as well as with those medical professionals who are fighting it. Our commitment to them and the world is to continue, ensuring life keeps moving, and the lights stay on, that is our contribution.

This is why we do what we do – this is our purpose.
