Offshore Logistics
For customers in need of a more integrated, efficient offshore transport solution, we have created a new service offering called Offshore Logistics. It combines shore bases, quaysides and vessel operations into one end-to-end service for major capital projects.
Each project, and therefore customer, is supported by a tailor-made IT system that collects real-time data to inform decision making and save costs. This service can be completely integrated with a customer’s operations, providing customers with increased supply chain consistency and visibility.
Our Offshore Logistics service is fully scalable across vessels, operations, and geographies, and represents a first-of-its-kind offering in the energy sector logistics space.

CASE STUDY: SUPPLY ON DEMAND
In 2021, P&O Maritime Logistics launched a new service in Qatar called “Supply on Demand.” It provides offshore logistics solutions on a pay-as-you-go basis, avoiding the need for customers to enter into restrictive contracts with their offshore service providers.
“Supply on Demand” allows customers to control their cargo movement from booking to post-transit analysis. Customers receive a dashboard where they can create bookings, track cargo and monitor or adapt routes to reduce costs, and crucially, they are only charged for the cargo they transport.
The solution fills a gap in the market which allows operators to pay for only what they need. The model optimises efficiency through better utilisation of vessel space, improved route planning and reduced fuel consumption, all in real-time.
