CASE STUDY: PORT MORESBY AND KIUNGA, PAPUA NEW GUINEA
In 2017, P&O Maritime Logistics was awarded our first contracts by Ok Tedi Mining to provide transhipment and vessel management services in support of export operations in Papua New Guinea.
Today, we operate several research and river operation support craft, as well as community vessels at Port Moresby and along the Fly River. This includes ownership and operation of 6 bulk-carrier vessels for Ok Tedi Mining and management of a further 5 support vessels for the Ok Tedi Development Foundation, the business’ non-profit subsidiary dedicated to sustainability.
All the vessels we have deployed meet the unique environmental requirements and ensure that local communities are not impacted by operations.
