Nikhil Ahluwalia

Nikhil Ahluwalia is the Chief Operating Officer Port Services & Bulk Modalities at P&O Maritime Logistics, bringing over four decades of experience in the global ports and maritime sector. With deep operational expertise and a strong track record across multiple continents, Nikhil plays a central role in overseeing and enhancing service delivery across the company’s international portfolio.

Nikhil began his maritime career in the Merchant Marine, spending 15 years at sea and rising to the rank of Master with A.P. Moller (Maersk Line) on large container and vehicle carrier vessels. He later held key positions in New Zealand, including Regional Operations Manager for Malaysia International Shipping Corporation and was part of the marine team at the Port of Tauranga.

Since relocating to the UAE in 2006, Nikhil has held a variety of senior leadership roles within the DP World and P&O Maritime Group over the past 19 years. His previous positions include Regional Manager of Africa, Director of Special Projects, Director of Group Operations, and Chief Operating Officer. Throughout his career, he has led the implementation of strategic, innovative initiatives to strengthen HSSEQ, commercial and operational efficiency and drive global performance.

Having worked extensively across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Oceania, Nikhil brings a global perspective and a collaborative approach to leadership. He is known for building strong client relationships, delivering professional maritime excellence, and adding long-term value.
