Latifa Mohammad is a highly accomplished human resources executive with an extensive background spanning over 23 years in the maritime, ports, and logistics industries. In her current capacity as Group Executive Vice President of Human Resources at DP World, she is at the forefront of developing and implementing global human capital strategies. These strategies are designed to align with and support the overarching long-term vision and mission of the company.

Throughout her notable career within the DP World Group, Ms. Mohammad has occupied several key senior leadership positions in Human Resources. Notably, she served as the Chief Human Resource Officer for the Marine Services Division, where her responsibilities encompassed P&O Maritime, P&O Marinas, Dubai Maritime City (DMC), and Drydocks World (DDW). In these capacities, she skillfully managed HR operations across diverse geographical regions, playing an instrumental role in formulating people strategies that foster growth and drive operational excellence. Adding to her significant contributions, Ms. Mohammad also holds board member positions for multiple P&O global entities: Spain, Cyprus and the shipyard company, Drydocks World, which is a DP World company.

Ms. Mohammad has been a pivotal figure in progressing DP World’s human capital agenda. Her efforts have been central to cultivating a skilled, inclusive, and forward-looking workforce within the critical maritime and logistics sectors. Her responsibilities cover a critical strategic role, particularly in aligning workforce capabilities with business objectives. This includes leading talent acquisition and succession planning, shaping a high-performance culture, and driving employee engagement and retention initiatives. Her comprehensive expertise covers a wide range of HR functions, including human capital management, talent development, leadership training, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Her academic and professional credentials include a degree in Banking and Financial Studies and a Human Resource Executive Certificate. Further underscoring her dedication to upholding standards of excellence and governance in the human resources domain, Ms. Mohammad has also contributed her expertise as an assessor with the Dubai Government Human Resources Audit Committee.
