P&O Maritime New FSVs
27 August 2015Repasa is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a 7+ year contract by Marathon Oil to expand its offshore marine services at the Alba Field, Equatorial Guinea. In addition to the existing fleet of seven (7) tugs deployed at the LNG production facility, this new contract comprises two (2) Fast Support Vessels (FSV) to support crew change, field supply and platform standby activities. The new vessels have been built by Damen and Strategic Marine Shipyards in Vietnam.
The contract management of the two FSV will benefit from the current installed base, profiting from the existing onshore hub in terms of contract representatives, warehousing, logistics, accommodation or medical care.
Since the acquisition of Repasa by P&O Maritime in September 2014, the Company has increased its vessel fleet from 8 units to currently 14 boats, creating a permanent offshore service hub in West Africa and delivering a long term chartering profile.
